North Carolina Recovery CORE:
Combining
Recovery's
Evidence
Based Processes
with Trauma Informed Care Frameworks and Practices
People should feel free and encouraged to create their own personal definition of recovery. NC Recovery CORE wants to assist others in building a quality life worth living, not a life that is free of problems or challenges. We strive to model being connected to personal values, and actively moving toward who and what is most important to each individual.
Evidence based practices and evidence based treatments are driven by evidence based processes. The 3 processes that CORE focuses on are therapy supports and skills driven by contemporary Cognitive Behavioral Therapies, connection to strong social supports with safe and understanding people, and the effective use of medications and medical supports.

Behaviors have a purpose and they can be understood, making therm more predictable and controllable.
